Wilderness Exhibition
The wilderness exhibition combines the nature of Lapland and animals. See the largest predators of Finland close up! The Big Five photo exhibition focuses on the animals of Kruger National Park.

Exhibition is open in summer 3.6.-18.7.2024 Mon-Fri from 10 am to 4 pm.
Exceptionally closed on 21.6.
Services and restaurant of Tankavaara Gold Village are just a short walk away. Nature trails of various length to the UK-national park start from the yard of exhibition house Sompio. There is also a small cafe and souvenir shop in the exhibition house.
Conferences and events
The exhibition house Sompio is a great place for conferences and celebration. The house has an auditorium with 100 seats and office spaces for 5-20 people. The exhibition area easily transforms into a dining area that can fit upto 200 people. So far we have hosted conferences, workshops, retreats and celebrations. We would be glad to work with you on your upcoming events!

The closest airport is in Ivalo. 60 kilometers north from Tankavaara. Whether your flight lands in Rovaniemi or Ivalo you can continue your travels with a bus all the way to Tankavaara. When arriving to Kittilä your travels will take you through Rovaniemi. You’ll easily find the bus schedule from the Matkahuolto website.
